Loneliness is God's way of teaching you that you don't necessarily have to see a friend face to face to be connected to them. God will take people out of your life one by one until you figure that out. But once you do, you'll never be lonely again. Sometimes you can be surrounded by people and still feel lonely. It's because you haven't connected with the truest friend of all: you.
This is a collection of my deep thoughts. They're philosophical, inspirational, spiritual, encouraging, thought-provoking, sometimes happy, sometimes sad. A new thought will be posted every day at 8 a.m. Your feedback is welcome. And discussions are encouraged.

Two things are required to lead a good life: family and friends, and the good times you have with them, making good memories. When you die the good memories your loved ones have of you become the most important things you ever did, the meaning of your life.

You prayed for strength, and suddenly everything went wrong. You prayed for wisdom and suddenly disaster struck. You prayed for courage and you were faced with an overwhelming crisis with no way out. You prayed for faith and suddenly everything went black and dark and lonely and scary. Maybe it's time we all just prayed for cake.

Just remember, no matter how black, cold, dark and empty things seem, when you're feeling like you're out there all alone with nobody to turn to, you never know how many people out there could be making a wish on you in their night sky...

The greatest sin in life is to not be who you truly are. You will never find true happiness until you let your soul out of the cage. You'll never find true love while wearing a mask. It's your flaws you fear anyway, not your true self. Separate the two, and let us all in to love the real you.

My boy spilled half a jug of milk all over the kitchen floor. As I'm mopping it up, I'm pondering the theological implications of it. Would I still love my boy if he spilled the milk ten thousand times? Of course. It's just milk. So the question is, is God's love and acceptance conditional on our repentance? Fundamentalists would say yes. I would say probably not. But I don't really know. All I know is, it's only milk.

God believes in you, that you can do anything. All you gotta do is pick something and go for it with everything you've got. And the more life kicks the crap out of you, the more proud he is of you, that you kicked ass right back and made your dreams come true no matter what was thrown your way.

It takes 18 to 20 years to grow a tiny little cell into a fully functioning adult, and only a few seconds to destroy all that progress. So tell me, why do the violent think they're so powerful when they damage or destroy life? They have no more power when killing others than they do to preventing their own deaths when a bullet goes through their brains.

Ten thousand years of social evolution and still the best example of power we can come up with is to take each others lives?
